ENABLING THE FUTURE: ARTIST GRANTS

Open to:

  • Early and mid-career artists in theatre and music
  • Companies and ensembles producing artists in the above disciplines

The Leo Shull Foundation for the Arts will support efforts to help emerging artists engage and explore the relationships between theatrical history and contemporary society as they create new works for the future.  


ENABLING THE FUTURE: GENIUS, INC.

The Leo Shull Foundation for the Arts will support efforts to help emerging artists engage and explore the relationships between theatrical history and contemporary society as they create new works for the future. 

GENIUS, INC. will bring together some of the world's most accomplished artists to select and mentor emerging artists of the future. Awarding the next generation with financial support and expert guidance, GENIUS, INC. is the continuation of a program first developed by Leo Shull in the 1960's.



PRESERVING THE PAST: Exhibition/Archive Grants

Open to:

  • Early and mid-career artists in theatre and music
  • Companies and ensembles producing artists in the above disciplines, or institutions working in the preservation of theatrical history

The Leo Shull Foundation will support efforts to preserve, present and archive the history of the American theatre for future generations.


PRESERVING THE PAST: TRENDS

Part blog, part magazine, part podcast, TRENDS seeks to explore the themes important to theatre makers today.  Inspired by the publications Leo Shull pioneered in the 20th century, TRENDS brings together the brightest minds in the theatre for thoughtful discussion and writing.
